Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and the Rimfall Legends team (thebora.dev), which operates the game. By creating an account or playing as a guest you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
Rimfall Legends is a free online game. We provide it as is, without a promise that it will always be available or free of errors. Parts of it need an internet connection.
2. Your account
- Guests can play with a device-bound account and upgrade it to a full account with a username, e-mail and password at any time.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not share or sell accounts.
- You must give a real e-mail address that you control, and you may keep only one full account per person for ranked play.
3. Fair play
- No cheating: do not use hacks, modified clients, bots, scripts, exploits, multi-accounting or match fixing (including winning trades) to gain an advantage.
- Do not abuse bugs. If you find one, report it instead of using it.
- Play ranked matches to win. Deliberately leaving or throwing matches can be penalised.
- Do not harass, threaten or insult other players.
4. Names and conduct
- Usernames are 3 to 16 letters, digits or underscores and are checked automatically. Names that are offensive, hateful, sexual, impersonate staff or the game (for example "admin" or "rimfall") or try to get around the filter are not allowed.
- Other players can report names and behaviour from player profiles, leaderboards and match screens. When several players report an offensive name, you are asked to choose a new one before you can continue.
- Blocking another player stops their friend requests and invites.
- Replay share links can be opened by anyone who has them. Share them only where you are comfortable showing the players' names.
5. Moderation
We may warn, rename, restrict or suspend accounts, remove leaderboard entries and reverse rewards when these terms are broken, with or without notice, depending on how serious the breach is. Reports are reviewed by people, and decisions can be reversed. Write to rimfall@thebora.dev if you think a decision was a mistake.
6. Virtual items
- Coins, blades, upgrades, skins, trails, auras, titles and season rewards are virtual items. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money and cannot be transferred between accounts.
- You receive a licence to use them inside the game. They may be rebalanced, renamed or removed when the game changes, and they are removed when an account is deleted or terminated.
- Seasons are periods of ranked play. At the end of a season ratings are reduced by a fixed factor, rewards are paid out for the league you reached and the season's results are kept in the Hall of Fame.
7. Changes to the service and to these terms
We update the game regularly: rules, balance, prices, rewards, seasons and features can change, and the service may be paused or ended. We will update these terms when needed and announce important changes in the app. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Account > Delete account, or by e-mail as described at rimfalllegends.thebora.dev/delete-account. This is permanent. We may also delete accounts that stay unused for a long time.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of virtual items. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
